Stripe to QuickBooks workflow
How to reconcile a Stripe payout in QuickBooks
Start with Stripe’s itemized automatic-payout report, verify the payout arithmetic, map the activity to your chart of accounts, and import one balanced journal.
Use the report that ties transactions to a payout
The balance activity export and the itemized automatic-payout reconciliation report answer different questions. For this workflow, use payout_reconciliation.itemized.7 so every supported row belongs to a documented automatic payout.
- Keep one journal per payout and currency.
- Verify gross plus fees equals net on every row.
- Confirm the report total agrees with the bank-side payout amount.
- Stop when the report schema or payout type is unsupported.
Map activity to accounts you already use
PayoutBridge does not choose tax treatment or redesign your chart of accounts. You select the bank, Stripe fee, sales, refund, dispute, and other supported category accounts appropriate for your books.
- Debit the payout bank account for the net settlement.
- Post fees and negative activity to the accounts you review.
- Credit the mapped revenue or liability accounts.
- Require total debits to equal total credits before export.
Preview before paying or importing
The browser parses the CSV locally. You can use the synthetic sample, review the journal, and confirm the account names before buying an export. The financial file is not uploaded to PayoutBridge.
